Thanks Angelique for this inspiring message! Your persistence is positively Churchillian - "Never give in, never give in, never, never" ❤️ I'm also impressed that you found 61 paying markets! It's rare for me to find more than four or five open calls.
Thanks for this interesting peek behind the scenes! And 51 rejections! That give me hope...
I've only encountered a few markets that offer rejection feedback so far. Getting form rejection after form rejection is kind of unhelpful; I often don't know if they liked the story and would've published it if they had room, or if the whole thing needs work.
Thanks for sharing your experience with this piece, its evolution and the journey it took from publication to publication until it found its home. It’s interesting to read editors’ comments, and helpful.
Congratulations and thanks for sharing!
Congratulations. Your story of experience is an example of how persistence pays off.
Now, as a "silly me" side note - the title of this post reminded me (I did say, "silly me") of the joke...
Q: How many chiropractors does it take to change a light globe?
A: Only one - but it'll take eight visits.
Thank you! I always say, “I’ll knock on the door till they let me in.” Ps thank you for the reminder- I’m due to see my chiropractor
Thanks Fred! Keep an eye on my blog. I’ll share all those calls with you. Ps looking forward to our interview. I mean to read my part this week!
